Jobs want two years. Internships want a junior who already shipped.
Nepalese GenZ are not imagining this. Job posts ask for experience. Internship posts ask for the same tools plus a portfolio. Colleges hand a bound report. Nobody funds the first URL. The essay form is why students cannot get work experience.
Companies are not evil for wanting less training. They are reacting to graduates who cannot walk through a live page. The factory is still Nepal's IT education system.
I do not take work on marksheets. I take work on a walkthrough. Students can manufacture that without permission.

What counts as experience without a boss
A hostname, git history, a failure you can narrate.
Host a shop, a clinic page, a tool. Ugly is fine. Public is required. Commits should not be 'finalfinal2'. You should be able to break it on a call and fix it.
That is junior. That is also more than most intern CVs I am sent in Kathmandu. Tool lists die. Walkthroughs get the job.

What internships could do instead
Leave a feature running. Paid if you can.
If you run a Nepal company, take an intern who will ship a leftover feature to production. Not fetch chai and redraw a banner. The government essay on this is what Nepal should do for IT students. You do not need to wait for policy.
Unpaid internships that still demand two years of React are a filter, not a classroom. Say the filter honestly.

Ship this month. One page. HTTPS. Your name. Then apply. The CV line is the URL.
